We're looking for full-time and part-time campaign interns!
Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting research and other special projects for the campaign
- Staffing the candidate at events, meetings and community gatherings
- Writing letters, drafting press materials and other communications
- Attending club and community events/meetings
- Compiling news clips
- Directing phone traffic, press questions and concerns to appropriate staff
- Performing general office tasks (filing, entering data, scanning, photocopying, etc.)
Desirable qualifications include:
- An interest in campaigns, communications and politics
- Attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Availability to work weekends and evenings
- Experience using PC computers, Microsoft Office, and database programs
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Having a positive and high-energy attitude is a must!
Internship positions are an excellent opportunity for exposure and experience if you are interested in campaigns/politics, community engagement, communications, and public service.
Interns work in close collaboration with the campaign staff. All internships are unpaid.
