Wendy Greuel Continues to Pick Up Endorsements in Mayoral Bid.

LOS ANGELES – Today Wendy Greuel earned endorsements from State Assemblymembers Betsy Butler, Bonnie Lowenthal and Nancy Skinner, for her bid to become the next Mayor of Los Angeles.

"We need a Mayor who will get Los Angeles back on its feet," said Assemblymember Butler. "No candidate is better positioned than Wendy Greuel to bring transparency and accountability to Los Angeles city government. Whether it's creating jobs, ending runaway production, or providing more afterschool programs for our kids, Wendy Greuel has the experience to get things done. That is why I am proud to endorse Wendy Greuel for Mayor of Los Angeles."

"I've known Wendy Greuel for years. We've worked together on a number of critical issues including economic development, transit expansion, and the modernization of the Port of Los Angeles," said Assemblymember Lowenthal. "From my first hand experience, I know that she's tenacious and tough. I am confident she'll be an outstanding Mayor."

"Wendy Greuel is the real deal," said Assemblymember Skinner. "She'll bring common sense and a hands-on approach to the Los Angeles Mayor's office. Just like she's done as Controller, she'll roll up her sleeves and get to the root of the City's problems. And once she identifies the problems, she won't just ignore them or kick the can down the road. Instead, she'll be the straight shooting, truth-teller to the City's residents, just as she's done every day as LA's taxpayer watchdog. Wendy Greuel is more than just a talker--she walks the walk, and puts words into action. That's why I'm pleased to give her my strong endorsement."

"Assemblymembers Bonnie Lowenthal, Nancy Skinner, and Betsy Butler are all leaders who have worked hard for us in the legislature. As Mayor, I look forward to partnering with them," said Controller Greuel. "I deeply appreciate their support in my campaign for Mayor."

In recent weeks, the Greuel campaign announced the support of State Senator Fran Pavley and a respected group of conservation leaders, including Mary Nichols, Fran Pavley, Jonathan Parfrey and others. To see the complete list of conservationists endorsing Controller Greuel, click here.

What Matters to Wendy

"Everywhere I go, Angelenos tell me the same thing.

"They're frustrated with government. They believe the city doesn't work and they don't see a clear set of priorities on how to fix it. They want someone who they know will prioritize job creation and get our economy moving again. And, they want better schools for our kids.

"These are issues I will champion as Mayor."
