Let's show them

Posted by Wendy Greuel on June 1, 2012.

My campaign’s off to a strong start, and people across L.A. are noticing.

Take a look at what the L.A. Times said recently:

It's still very, very early in the campaign to become the next mayor of Los Angeles, but right now, it's City Controller Wendy Greuel who's playing the hot hand…

Greuel, who was celebrating her 51st birthday, was gracious and articulate, fluent in the intricacies of City Hall and deft at emphasizing the range of experience that differentiates her, if only slightly, from her leading competitors.

Just one month from today we’ll face a fundraising deadline that will set the tone for the rest of the year.

People are saying we’ve got momentum – pitch in $33 right now and let’s show them how right they are.

I have crisscrossed our great City, listening to the concerns that Angelenos have and what they want from our next Mayor.

Everywhere I go, I hear the same things. We want well-paying jobs for our workers and families. We want schools that will give our children the chance to succeed in the global economy. And we want responsive leaders who truly care about making Los Angeles great.

I owe a tremendous amount to this great city – a great public education, a successful small business, and boundless opportunities. And now I’m running for Mayor because I want to help L.A. move forward.

Please join me in closing this fundraising period with strength. Please make a $33 contribution right now and let’s continue to build our momentum.

Thank you,

Wendy

What Matters to Wendy

"Everywhere I go, Angelenos tell me the same thing.

"They're frustrated with government. They believe the city doesn't work and they don't see a clear set of priorities on how to fix it. They want someone who they know will prioritize job creation and get our economy moving again. And, they want better schools for our kids.

"These are issues I will champion as Mayor."
