Greuel Campaign Launches New Campaign Website to Serve as Central Online Hub for Campaign Information and Resources; Assembles Powerful Team of Veteran Campaign Strategists

LOS ANGELES— Commencing the one year out mark for the primary election of the 2013 Los Angeles Mayor’s race, today the Wendy Greuel for Mayor campaign officially launched its new campaign website and announced its strong team of veteran campaign strategists.

“This website will serve as our central online hub, where voters can visit and get information about my background and track record, as well as my vision for the future of Los Angeles,” said City Controller Greuel. “We will keep it up to date with information and ongoing news about the race, and it will serve as our main location where visitors can go to follow me on Twitter and Facebook. Additionally, it will be used as an organizing tool, where supporters can send our campaign their ideas for a better Los Angeles, sign up to volunteer or receive our campaign emails, and even become an online fan of the campaign.”

Renowned strategist and one of California’s top consultants, John Shallman, President of Shallman Communications will serve as Greuel’s Chief Strategist and Senior Consultant, along with his veteran team of campaign operatives from Shallman Communications. Shallman has been Greuel’s Chief Strategist and Senior Consultant since her first election to the LA City Council nearly a decade ago, and he’s led well over 100 major campaigns in LA and all across California over the last 20 years.

Rose Kapolczynski, former Campaign Manager and Consultant for U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer will serve as Greuel’s Senior Advisor. Christopher Guerrero, former Field Director of the California Democratic Party will serve as Greuel’s Political Director.

“I am proud of the incredibly strong and seasoned team of strategists that we’ve assembled for my campaign,” said Controller Greuel. “I’m confident that my team will implement an innovative and powerful campaign that articulates my plans for a better Los Angeles to voters all across our city.”

Recently, Greuel has secured endorsements from the United Steel Workers (USW) and the Operating Engineers Local 501.

What Matters to Wendy

"Everywhere I go, Angelenos tell me the same thing.

"They're frustrated with government. They believe the city doesn't work and they don't see a clear set of priorities on how to fix it. They want someone who they know will prioritize job creation and get our economy moving again. And, they want better schools for our kids.

"These are issues I will champion as Mayor."
